A Blatant, Political Diatribe(shocking Coming From The Bugg)

January 28, 2006 / by honeybugg3

Good Saturday morn fellow bloggers

I will never cease to be amazed by the representatives of the extreme right. In my morning perusals of news sites, I noted that CNN.com ran an article about uber conservative whack job and Nazi pin-up girl Ann Coulter. Seem Ms(?) Coulter was speaking at Philander Smith College ( an historically black institution) and put forth the idea that Justice John Paul Stevens, one of the more liberal justices on the Supreme Court, should be poisoned. "We need somebody to put rat poison in Justice Stevens' creme brulee," she opined. She then said she was "just joking" for benefit of the media present. She also shouted down a questioner in the audience, declaring that "I'm not going to be lectured to." She further demonstrated her incredible insight by observing that the crack problem "has pretty much gone away." These half assed remarks drew substantial boos from the audience as well they should have. Now first of all, I wonder why she would be invited to speak at a predominantly black school, most of which are known for their liberal points of view, unless it was some sort of equal time deal. Are we going to get an apology out of this Nazi bitch for promoting the assasination of a Supreme Court justice? (isn't that some sort of federal crime?) I won't hold my breath. The court needs a mixture of opinions. We need liberals to keep gub'met from killing us and taking our rights away, we need conservatives to keep the liberals from throwing out the baby with the bath water and giving away the store, and we need centerists to keep them from killing one another and adding a voice of reason. But I suppose it is a free country(for the moment) and one can express any opinion one wants, but I always thought we drew the line at inciting assasinations.

reading or watching or listening to mainstream news is always disgusting and frightening. There are lots of good sites on the web for news: alternet, common dreams, tom paine, znet.

She should be arrested and charged with uttering death threats. Noone's going to do it though. Toronto had a mayor just 3 years ago who went up to a reporter and threatened to kill him. Full scrum too. Nobody charged him! We let the bullies get away with too much.

    Have a good Sat.

I have read alternet and znet but I never heard of the other two...thanks for the tip. I'll definitly check 'em out. Your right about mainstream news. I sometimes wonder where all this "liberal bias" the right keeps bitching about is. Ya can't turn on AM radio without some conservative blowhard(i.e. Rush and his ilk) flapping their gums. And I don't even wanna talk about Fox News. Fair and balanced my asphalt(to get by the censors)

I have had the special priviledge to see "her" twice. The first time I just turned it off as she was not speaking correctly about conservatives but instead pushing this neo-con diatrabe and speaking in a condesending manner to all who didn't toe the line. The second was on the Daily show, which I sometimes find amusing, and I did watch her 4 minute segment as Jon Daily was certainly holding his won against her blatently uninformed and nasty-mean comments. I have no reason to ever think about her again. I don't know how she became a media darling star, but it wasn't with any help from me.
